The last of our darling brothers, Russell Clyde Henson, 72, of Buena Vista, went to Heaven to be with his Lord, his parents, Lonnie and Effie Henson; brothers, Mayo, Henry, Eugene, Robert; and his sister, Elsie Smith, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Trudi Carter, Lucy Hotchkiss, Lou Newcomer, and Christie Bowen; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and brothers-in-law, Herman Smith and Bill Newcomer.

Russell will be sadly missed by his friends at Burger King. Russell loved everyone and he never met a stranger. He will also be missed by his friends Billy Spence and Bobby Spence and everyone who knew him.

The family received friends Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011, at the Buena Vista Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryon LePere officiating. Pall bearers are Jim Bradford, Jim Cox, Richie Carter, Robin Smith, Donnie Dillion, Cody Smith, and Lonnie Smith. Russell will be laid to rest at the foot of his mother in Green Hill Cemetery.
