Obituary for William (Billy) Ingram William (Billy) Ingram
U.S. Army Veteran Worked With BARC In Millboro

William (Billy) Ingram, 89, of Millboro, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from his residence.

Billy was born on October 7, 1921 in Goshen, Virginia, to the late Barbara Ann Ingram.

In 1940, he married Elizabeth Belle Steele, who preceded him in death on September 2, 1999. He was a tree trimming crew foreman with BARC in Millboro, and he served with the United States Army during World War II.

Billy was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by a daughter, Carol L. Farkas and husband, Edward of Massillon, Ohio; his grandchildren, Susan Leonard, Charles "Skeeter" Kelican and wife, Shelia, Mary Jenkins and husband, Mickey, Lisa Goff and husband, Butch, Billy Kuykendall, Elizabeth Richards, and Robert Ewell and wife, Jennifer; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and many very special friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles William Ingram; a daughter, Shirley Ann Kelican; a sister, Lillian Swearengin; and two brothers, Henry Ingram and Harry Ingram.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Goshen Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Reese officiating. Burial will follow at Pig Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2011 at Craigsville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in his honor to Goshen Baptist Church, 51 Baptist Hill Road, Goshen, VA 24439.
