Fredrick Neaves Shaver, 66, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to his heavenly home Thursday, September 15, 2011 in Alleghany Regional Hospital.

Born March 14, 1945 in MD, he was a son of the late George and Addie Sprouse Shaver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy, Helen, Julia and Alice.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 38 years, Daisy Mae Shaver; brother, George Shaver and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Fred was loved by all who knew him. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a dedicated husband, friend, worker and an avid fisherman.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at the LDS Chapel, 725 W. 29th St., Buena Vista.
