Charles Alan (Charlie) Looney of 1407 Hatcher Ave., Covington, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

He was a dedicated and loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Left of cherish his memories are his loving wife, Gail; sons, Alan and Tammie, Shane, Dustin and Cory; daughter, Kim and Dale Barker; nine grandchildren; Josh, Austin, Alex, Ethan, Gabe, Katie, Abbey, Riley, and Stella-Claire; brothers and sisters, Jane Cole, Mutt and Debbie Reynolds, Deborah and Jerry Peters, Tina and Cody Brown, Donald and Missy Reynolds, Deannie and Dwayne Clapsaddle and fatherŠin-law, Gary Reynolds.

Charlie was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church. He loved his church family, especially his friend, Benny Elmore.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated., A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the Christ United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Snider officiating. The family will receive freinds following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Charlie's name may be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or to Relay For Life, in care of Donna Ward, 201 Pioneer Road, Covington, VA 24426.
