Faith Baptist Church Member Was Longtime Sunday School Teacher

Mary Margaret Clark Kimberlin, age 76, of 1050 Vulcan Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

Born October 5, 1935 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, Mary was a daughter of Harry Nathan Clark and Gertrude Brown Clark Walker.

She was a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church, where she sang in the adult choir and was also a preschool teacher. She was a children's Sunday School teacher for over fifty years.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, loving and caring for her family and friends. She enjoyed birds and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Clark and Gertrude Clark Walker; brothers, Elmer Clark, Maynard Clark, James Clark, Leonard Clark, and Elwood Clark; and sisters, Elsie Goodwin, Mattie Johnson, and Atchie Thornton. She is survived by her husband, George F. "Pete" Kimberlin of Clifton Forge; five children, Diane Kouns and husband, Mark of Eagle Rock, Donna Cross and husband, Reggie of Millboro, Tim Kimberlin and wife, Donna of Clifton Forge, Tony Kimberlin and wife, Angie of Clifton Forge, and Tammy Wright and husband, Kevin of Clifton Forge; a sister, Barbara Hoke and husband, Glenn of Clifton Forge; a brother, Fred Clark and wife, Esther of Clifton Forge; grandchildren, Heath Kouns and wife, Penny, Matthew Bowser and wife, Michele, Toby Kouns, Jeremy Bowser, Krista Craft and husband, Josh, Timothy Kimberlin, Jr., Rebecca Kimberlin, and Rachel Kimberlin; great grandchildren, Logan, Jakob, Leah, Calvin, Anna, Brady, Gabriel, and Cole; sisters-in-law, Lillie Mays and Hattie Bush, both of Low Moor, and Lorraine Kimberlin of Eagle Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Faith Baptist Church, Covington with Reverend Billy Price officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Church, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Donnie Kimberlin, Daryl Kimberlin, Wayne Kimberlin, Doug Smith, Basil Bryant, Pete Broughman, Mike Wade, and Daniel Vance. Bo Reid will serve as an alternate pallbearer. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons, Heath Kouns, Matthew Bowser, Toby Kouns, Jeremy Bowser, and Timothy Kimberlin, Jr. The family received friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, and will at other times at the residence, 1050 Vulcan Ave, Clifton Forge.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
