Mrs. Pattie Elizabeth Williams Bush Charles, 85, of Clifton Forge, died on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

Mrs. Charles was born on November 22, 1925, in Covington, the daughter of the late Charles Clarence and Mary Violet Ruth "Ruby" Williams.

Mrs. Charles is survived by her son, Beauford M. "Tuffy" Bush Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of Clifton Forge; daughters, Rebecca Ashwell and fiance, Byron Brown, of Troutville, and Betty Daniel and husband, Roger, of Clifton Forge; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her devoted niece, Karen and husband, John Chitchester; and her stepchildren and their families.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, October 25, 2011, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
