Worked With City Of Covington At Cedar Hill Cemetery

Edward Hughe (Ed) Wolfe, age 74, formerly of Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware.

He was born April 29, 1937, a son of Floyd King Wolfe and Virgie Fridley Wolfe, who preceded him in death.

He was a former employee of the City of Covington, working at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

He attended Hanover Assembly of God Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Humphries Wolfe in 2004; a son, Edward Lee "Junebug" Wolfe in 1983; a daughter, Wanda Craft; a son-in-law, Bucky Craft; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Wolfe in 2005; a brother, Joe Wolfe; a grandson, Jay Black; a great grandson, Raymond Conner Wolfe in 2008; his step mother, Annie Wolfe; and a half sister and half brother, Lillie Wolfe Redman and Ronnie Wolfe.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Bryant and husband, Skip of Henderson, MD and Sandy Black and husband, Kenneth of Easton, MD; two sons, Samuel Wolfe and wife, Mickey of Glen Burnie, MD and Bobby Wolfe of Rich Patch, Covington; two sisters, Marty Broughman of Paint Bank, and Mary Duvall and husband, Jimmy of Rich Patch; one half sister, Nancy Wolfe of Rich Patch; two half brothers, Donnie Wolfe and Floyd Wolfe, Jr., both of Covington; ten grandchildren, Bobby Lee Wolfe, Jr., Raymond Wolfe, Melissa Wolfe, Jarred Wolfe, Jeremy Phillips, April Wolfe, Kasey Black, Amber Bryant, Joshua Bryant, and Nathaniel Bryant; ten great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Revered Mike Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, Covington. Pallbearers will be Raymond Wolfe, Bobby Wolfe, Jr., Garland Humphreys, Lance Craft, Ronnie Ray Broughman, William Lee Broughman, Jr., Mike Broughman, Dale Duvall, and alternate, Brian Humphreys.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia.
