Obituary for Gleda Marie Harding (G.G.) Snead Gleda Marie Harding (G.G.) Snead
Highland County Native Was Covington Baptist Church Member

Mrs. Gleda Marie Harding (G.G.) Snead, age 75, formerly of Covington, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Springs Nursing Home, Bath County.

Mrs. Snead was born February 8, 1936 in the Mustoe section of Highland County, the daughter of the late George Butler Pinkney Gutshall and Lona Lucille Gutshall and her adopted parents, the late Ed Harding and Mae Harding.

She was a lifelong resident of this area.

A member of Covington Baptist Church, G.G. loved the Lord and loved going to church to worship him.

Mrs. Snead is survived by two daughters, Tracey McMickle and Marie Baldwin; two grandchildren, Kristin and Justin; one sister, Frances Peery of Carloover; one brother, George Gutshall of Bath County; and a number of nieces and nephews.

G. G. was preceded in death by three brothers, Mason Gutshall, Burton Gutshall and Edgar Gutshall; four sisters, Christine Spencer, Glenna Plecker, Mavis Smith and Audrey Faye Gutshall.

A funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev James Menefee officiating. Interment followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
