Obituary for Arnold Lee Bradberry Arnold Lee Bradberry
Retired Water Well Driller Also Was Bath County School Bus Driver

Arnold Lee Bradberry, age 81, of 11410 Douthat State Park Road, Millboro, VA, passed away and his soul went back to God who gave it, on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from his residence.

He was born on August 26, 1930 in Bertha, WV, a son of the late Frank and Lily Wyatt Bradberry.

He was a retired water well driller and the owner of Bradberry Well Drilling and Excavating Company for many years.

He also was a school bus driver for the Bath County Public Schools for 12 years.

He was a member of the Grace Bible Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL, and most recently the Immanuel Baptist Church in Clifton Forge, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Arnold's favorite pastime was camping, was happiest spending time with his family, and was known as a famous storyteller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sylva Powell; and three brothers, William Bradberry, Jess Bradberry, and James Bradberry.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Betty Dressler Bradberry; five children, Donnie Bradberry and wife, Evelyn of Millboro, Ronnie Bradberry and wife, Karen of Covington, Timmy Bradberry and wife, Linda of Claremont, FL, Patty Reynolds and husband, Joey of Millboro, and Jennifer Reynolds and Jeremy Smith of Bacova; his grandchildren and their children, his great-grandchildren: Casey and Sandy Bradberry (Zachary, Daniel, Kayla, Amy, and Jackson), Tracey and Mike Nicely(Seth, Hayden, and Bailey), Stacey and Brandon Woodzell (Layni and Blake), Adam and Katrina Bradberry (Sierra and Kadence), Jared and Kathy Bradberry (Ashley and Hunter) Jessica and Wes Kirby (Eden and Evan); two great great-grandchildren, Kristen Bradberry and soon-to-be Zachary "Bean" Bradberry, Jr.

Survivors also include three sisters, 94 year-old Dorothy Lily, Mattie Jean Yancey, and 92 year-old Nellie Thompson; a brother, 78 year-old Bobby Bradberry and wife, Edith; a sister-in-law, Betty May Bradberry; a former sister-in-law, Sue Briers; special nieces, Becky Cole and husband, David, Nina Poe and husband, John, Sherry and Trevor Anderson, and Jackie Persinger; a number of other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special companions, Patches and Odessa.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with the Reverend Lloyd Camp officiating, assisted by Marion Nicely.

Interment will follow in Peaceful Mountain-Bradberry Family Cemetery in Millboro. Active pallbearers will be David Dressler, Alex Dressler, Timmy Dressler, P. T. Dressler, Jeffrey Persinger, and Alan Wayne Atkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Atkins, Ronnie Liptrap, Sr., Ronnie Liptrap, Jr., Grey Perry, Timmy Black, Tommy Stinespring, Beverly Atkins, Sonny Clark, Sharon Wells, Rick Griffin, Harold Keyser, Stevie Hodge, Dawn Duncan, Twila May, and David Liptrap.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Nicely Funeral Home, and other times at the residence 11410 Douthat State Park Road. The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of donations in his memory to the Alleghany Highlands Free Clinic, 322 W.
