Annie Jarvis Ramsey, 89, of Fairfield, Virginia, died at her home, Friday, November 18, 2011.

Born May 31, 1922 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary Katherine Phillips Jarvis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Morris Wilson Ramsey, and two brothers, Ed and Bill Jarvis.

Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Marlbrook Baptist Church.

Her main love was her family and church.

Surviving are five children, Phillip Ramsey and wife, Linda of Calhoun, GA, Randy (Paul) Ramsey and wife, Delilah, Pastor Rick Ramsey and wife, Suzy, Bonnie Snyder and husband, Herman, all of Fairfield, and Morris (Buck) Ramsey and wife, Lynn of Bradenton, FL; one sister, Mary Fox and husband, Earl; sister-in-law, Bessie Jarvis; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Marlbrook Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 6 Ð 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missions Fund at Marlbrook Baptist Church or Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450.
