Rosie Dolly Davis, 78, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Saturday November 18, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born, December 16, 1932 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Richard Henry Silvey and Gertie Jane Worth Silvey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Davis; a daughter, Linda Faye Chittum; three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are her children: Daryl Chittum, Doris Mikels, Nancy (Poo) Painter, Darlene Davidson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and special friend, Charlotte.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour before funeral service.
