Obituary for Floyd Plynn Camden Floyd Plynn Camden
Calvary Brethren Church Member Dies At Age 76

Floyd Plynn Camden, 76, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home.

Born January 11, 1935 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of Mae G. Camden and the late Samuel Oscar Camden.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter T. Camden.

Mr. Camden was a member of the Calvary Brethren Church in Buena Vista, and served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Faye Camden; two daughters, Sandra K. Camden and Felicia Keith and husband, John E., all of Buena Vista; one sister, Martha Gupton and husband, Joe of Petersburg, VA; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Calvary Brethren Church with the Rev. Rick Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Calvary Brethren Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
