Daisy Florine Wright Hepler, 74, of 4000 Kanawha Trail, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at her residence.

She was born April 25, 1937 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Frank and Roxy Arritt Wright.

Mrs. Hepler had retired as a presser with the former Halmode Corp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Della VanNavelle, Mattie Thomas, Lillian Bogar, and Shirley Perdue; four brothers: Saford Wright, Lawrence Wright, Connie Wright, and Evertt Wright; and also by a grandson, Terry Lee Hepler.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Charles W. Helper, Sr. of Covington; four daughters, Anita Redman and her husband, Gary; Susan Lee and Phillip Miller; Mary Perry and her husband, Dale, and Molly Glick and her husband, David, all of Covington; two sons, Charles Wright, Jr. and his wife, Susan and Jessie Hepler and his wife, Roberta Lyn, all of Covington; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Wright and his wife, Mary and Clayton Wright and his wife, Hazel, all of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gordon Hammond officiating.

The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
