Obituary for Robert Lee (Bob) Moore Robert Lee (Bob) Moore
Former Hercules Employee Owned Callaghan Machine Shop

Mr. Robert Lee (Bob) Moore, age 70, of Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at his residence.

He was the husband of Jewel Kaye Bennett Moore.

Mr. Moore was born March 23, 1941 in Greenbrier County, WV, the son of the Claude Andrew Moore and Virginia Clemons Moore.

A member of this community since February, 1968, he was a former employee of Hercules Inc., where he worked in the color lab and owned and operated the Callaghan Machine Shop.

Bob's first love was cars which he enjoyed restoring and drag racing, but he especially loved his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. He was a lover of dogs especially his sidekick, Scoobie.

In addition to his wife of forty-four years, Jewel Kaye Bennett Moore, Mr. Moore is survived by two sons: Michael Thomas Moore of San Francisco, CA and a daughter-in-law, Lori Moore of Clifton Forge, Jason Andrew Moore and friend, Lisa of Blue Ridge, VA; two grandchildren, Cedar Jacob Moore and Laurel Lydia Jewel Moore; his mother-in-law, Thelma Bennett; one brother, Charles Thomas Moore and wife, Beverly of Chester, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating. Entombment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Don Delaney, Jimmy Curtis, C.J. Matheny, Bill Dawson, J.C. Bragg and Paul Kesterson.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
