James Allen (Jimmy) Collins, 48, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his home.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Margaret Austin Collins Wilhelm and Chalmer R. Wilhelm of Lexington; a daughter, Jessica Leigh Taylor; two grandsons, all of Buena Vista; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Hostetter and Steve Hostetter, of Fairfield; three brothers, Richard (Rick) Collins, Paul Collins, both of Buena Vista, and Gary (Tony) Collins of Roanoke; former wife, Brenda Diane Smith of Buena Vista; a special nephew, Brian Hostetter and a special niece, Melissa Hostetter, both of Fairfield.

Jimmy had many, many dear close friends and he attended the Pentecostal Outreach Church in Buena Vista.

A memorial service was held 6 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the Pentecostal Outreach Church, with Rev. Larry Clark officiating.

Arrangements were handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
