Betty Geraldine Ogden Armstrong, 75, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista, VA.

She as born April 25, 1936, in Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Walter Brown Ogden and Ruth Irene Holt Ogden.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gilmore (Bill) Armstrong and one sister, Lucille Fauber.

Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Ricky Lee Armstrong and wife, Teresa, and Vickie Susan Grant, all of Buena Vista; one sister, Nancy Vest; three grandchildren, Joshua Dale Grant, Heather Renee Armstrong Slagle, and Dustin Neal Grant; and one great grandchild, Alexis Brooke Armstrong.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial to follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
