Emory & Henry Business Graduate Dies At Age 28

Jared Abraham Bahhur, 28, of Lexington, VA, died on December 19, 2011.

Jared was born in Lexington, VA, on April 2, 1983.

Jared graduated from Rockbridge County High School and Emory and Henry College with a degree in Business and Geography.

Jared was full of life. He loved everything outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing. He also enjoyed all types of live music. Jared always had a big heart and a bright smile. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

Jared was survived by his mother and stepfather, Robin and Frankie Pennington, of Lexington, VA; father and stepmother, Phillip and Lois Bahhur, of Fairfield, VA; grandmother, Loretta Elbon, of Fairfield, VA; grandparents, Leonard and Doris Pennington, Lexington, VA.

Jared had a very special friend, Katy Datz, of Lexington, VA. Also surviving are his sisters and brothers: Selena Bahhur, Melissa Bahhur, Jamel Bahhur, Joseph Bahhur, Brice Bahhur, Devin Bahhur, McKenzie Bahhur and Chloe Bahhur; three neices; Kelsie Ogden, Aspen Ladd and Addison Gebhard; special nephew, Noah Pennington.

Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Elbon and Salem and Miriam Bahhur.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Life Chapel with Pastor Timm Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. at Life Chapel on Thursday, December 22, 2011. The pallbearers will be Maury Williams, Robert Chambers, Patrick Crumpton, Tracey Chandler, John Powers, and Sam King. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockbridge Area Free Clinic, P. O. Box 1573, Lexington, VA 24450.
