Obituary for Percy Floyd King, Jr. Percy Floyd King, Jr.
Burlington Retiree Dies At Age 81

Percy Floyd King, Jr., 81, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born March 31, 1930 in Richmond, VA, he was a son of the late Percy Floyd King, Sr. and Mattie Goodbar King.

Mr. King was a member of the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, and retired from Burlington Industries after forty four years of service.

Surviving are his wife of sixty one years, Bette King of Glasgow; one daughter, Kassandra K. Emore and husband, William; one son, Jerel G. King and wife, Barbara, all of Glasgow; one brother, Larry C. King of Culpeper; three grandchildren, Lezley Robinson and husband, Kurt; Travis Emore and wife, Hope; Megan King; six great grandchildren, Cody, McKenzey, Preston, Neeley, Mattie, and Caleb.

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Brian Weger officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, but the family will receive friends at their home at any time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, 410 Falling Spring Road, Glasgow, VA 24555.
