Obituary for Lillian Byers Pryor Lillian Byers Pryor
Amherst County Native Was Buena Vista Resident

Lillian Byers Pryor, 93, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Golden Living Center.

She was born January 6, 1919, in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Henry Toliver Byers and Ada Estelle Davis Byers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Conrad Pryor; her first husband, John A. Farrar Sr., an infant daughter, and three brothers.

Mrs. Pryor was a member of the Calvary Brethren Church in Buena Vista.

Surviving are her children: Joyce Cross and Richard of Mesa AZ, Ester Hailey of Waynesboro, Sandra Fitzgerald and Jimmy Mason and John A. Farrar, Jr. all of Buena Vista; Ralph "Pete" Pryor of Salem, Patricia Dear and Ron of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Calvary Brethren Church in Buena Vista with the Rev. Rick Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Calvary Brethren Church.
