Bernice Huffman Tyree, 78, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her home.

Born February 8, 1933 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late James "Doug" Huffman and Craim Chittum Huffman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Huffman.

Mrs. Tyree was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church for sixty seven years.

Surviving are her husband of fifty two years, Herman J. Tyree, Sr.; children, Jimmy Tyree and wife, Ann; Melinda Jones and husband, Mike; brother, Jimmy Huffman; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W.A. Mills and the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
