Boyd McBenia (Benny) Anderson, Jr., 52, of Covington, died, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his residence.

He was born June 17, 1959 in Clifton Forge, a son of Carol Pollock Anderson of Covington and the late Boyd M. "Dusty" Anderson.

Benny was a graduate of Covington High School and was employed with the U.S. Forestry Service.

He was avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and cutting wood with his sons. Benny was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Corky Anderson and an aunt, Arlene Anderson.

In addition to his mother, is survived by his wife, of 21 years, Lisa Vaughn Anderson; two sons, Matthew Anderson and Travis Anderson; two brothers, John Kevin Anderson and his wife Donna and Todd Anderson; four uncles, Linwood Anderson and his wife Judy; Ray Anderson and his wife Jewel; Louie Anderson and David Pollock and his wife, Lynn; father and motherŠin-law, Eddie and Nancy Vaughn; three brothers and sisters-in- aw and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 in the Chapel of the Arritt Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Chesley officiating.
