Pennsylvania Native Was Former Waitress At Buddy & Sonny's Restaurant

Florence Dorothy Russell Loan, age 74, The Brian Center Nursing Home, Low Moor, Virginia, and formerly of White Rock Gap Road, Covington, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at The Brian Center.

Born July 22, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John L. Russell and Florence Phillips Russell Pole.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and a waitress for Buddy and Sonny's Restaurant.

She enjoyed going to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Marshall "Mike" Loan in 1987, and two brothers, George Russell and Bob Russell.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Banzuelo of Palm Springs, California; a brother, John Russell and wife, Marian of New Holland, PA; three grandchildren, Holly Banzuelo, Heather Banzuelo, and Karin Stuht; and a special friend, Carroll Saville of Covington.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
