Rodney W. Tomlinson, 72, of Carnesville, formally of Buena Vista, Virginia, died February 12, 2012.

Survivors include his mother, Clara H. Tomlinson of Buena Vista; his wife, Joanne B. Tomlinson of Carnesville GA; a son, Rodney Wayne Tomlinson Jr., English, IN; a daughter, Lorrie T. McDaniel of Winder, GA; stepchildren, Richard Till of Highland Homes, IL, Tony Tills, Snellville, GA, Cecil Ferrell, Pratsville, AL, Donnie Ferrell of Jefferson, GA, and April Michelie Caver of Billingsey, AL; brothers, Garry Tomlinson, Buena Vista, David Tomlinson of Salembury, NC., Larry Tomlinson of Appomattox, VA, and Keith Tomlinson of Lexington; two sisters, Nancy Plogger and Brenda Entsminger, both of Lexington; 21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 18, 2012 at Ivie Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Local arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home Buena Vista.
