Arthur (Gator) William Lineberry, 65, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home.

Born September 14, 1946 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Franklin and Mary Kathleen Mikels Lineberry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lineberry and a sister, Joyce Marie Lineberry.

Mr. Lineberry was a veteran of the Vietnam War era and served in Germany.

He was a member of Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church, Buena Vista.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Clark Lineberry; three children, Travis Lineberry and wife, Tina of Atlanta, GA, Joshua Lineberry and wife, Nicole of Flowery Branch, GA, and Charity Strowbridge and husband, Justin of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Carlin, Noah, Allie, Gavin, Rayna, Brooke; one great grandchild, Malaia; 1 brother, Larry Lineberry and wife, Quan, of Martinsburg, WV; numerous nieces and nephews; two special pallbearers, Arnold Coffey and Butch Wise; and a host of friends and church family too numerous to name.

A funeral service will be held at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 with Rev. W. A. Mills, Rev. Larry Floyd, and Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the church.
