Former Halmode Apparel Seamstress Was Covington Resident

Dora June Webb Stover, age 71, of 112 North Magazine Avenue, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Born June 5, 1940 in Clear Creek, West Virginia, Dora was a daughter of the late Fred and Eldora Daniel Webb.

She was a seamstress for the former Halmode Apparel.

She was member of the Clifton Forge Baptist Church and the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Stover; a sister, Wanda Long Crowder; and two brothers, Gary Wayne Webb and Kenneth Dale Webb.

She is survived by three daughters, Nina June Linkenhoker and husband, Gary of Covington, Vicky Lynn Morgan and husband, Robert of Clifton Forge, and Sandra Faye VanLear and husband, Robert of Clifton Forge; a son, Dennis Ray Stover, Jr. of Covington; two sisters, Shirley Stover and husband, Lowell of Templehill, MD, and Norma Perdue and husband, Paul of Mt. Hope, WV; two brothers, Larry Curtis Webb and wife, Wanda, and David Webb and wife, Jean, all of Mt. Hope, WV; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend J. Glenn Linthicum officiating. Entombment will follow. There will be no formal visitation.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
