Doris Lee Wilmer Bocook, age 84, of 10951 Douthat State Park Road, Millboro, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her residence.

he was born June 17, 1927 in Clifton Forge to the late Rias and Christine Doss Wilmer.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Oak Grove Advent Christian Church.

She loved all sports, gardening, and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Bocook in 2003; two sisters, and a number of brothers.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Hodges and husband, Ronnie of Millboro; a son, Everette Lee Bocook of Richmond; three grandchildren, Sharon R. Puffenbarger and husband, Jody, Brian D. Reynolds, and Michael L. Reynolds; a great grandchild, and apple of her eye, Nicholas Puffenbarger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was conducted on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath County with Reverend Doug Moore and Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment followed. Friends may call any time at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, or at the residence of Carolyn and Ronnie Hodges, 10975 Douthat State Park Road, Millboro.
