Clifton Forge Native Worked As Dietary Aide At Brian Center

Linda Kay Unroe Roberts, age 58, of 3219 Douthat Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at her home.

She was born March 18, 1953 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, a daughter of Hazel Dawe Unroe and the late Charles Jackson Unroe.

She was of the Protestant Faith and worked as a dietary aide at the Brian Center in Low Moor.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ashby "Beau" Unroe.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gerald D. Roberts; her mother; Hazel Dawe Unroe; three sisters: Patsy Hyler and husband, John, of Low Moor, Vera Unroe, of Valley Ridge, Cindy Reid and husband, Quintin, of Clifton Forge; three sisters-in-law; Diane Smith and husband, Marty, of Richmond, Judy Barnes and husband, Sratton, of Florence, AL, Virginia Colby and Mary Elliott, both or Richmond; four brothers-in-law: Danny Roberts and wife, Susan, of Roanoke, Marty Roberts and wife, Terri, of Clifton Forge, John Dale Roberts and wife, Tammy, of Richmond, Darrell Roberts, of Richmond. She is also survived by a special friend, Suzanne All; her very special companion, Sweetie, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment followed in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Dale Unroe, Harold Hyler, Keith Hyler, Travis Hyler, Wayne Hannah, and Terry Fix; alternate pallbearers were Marty Smith and Marty Roberts.The family received friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Monday at Nicely Funeral Home and will at other times at the residence of Patsy and John Hyler 440 Lipsey Lane in Low Moor.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, handled the arrangements.
