Vietnam Veteran Dies At Age 65

Herbert Arnold Nair, 65, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at his home.

Born July 6, 1946 in Lexington, VA, he was a son of the late Harley Exley and Helen Camden Exley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Rita Hostetter and father-in-law, Emory Higgins, Sr.

Mr. Nair served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. Herb was also a member of the NRA, NWLF, and the National Pipe Fitters Association.

He loved the mountains and all the things related especially fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Hostetter Nair; daughter, Katrina Bradberry and husband, Adam; granddaughters, Sierra and Kadence Bradberry; mother-in-law, Julia Higgins; two brothers, Kenneth Nair and Andrew Nair; numerous family members and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price and the Rev. Chris Chesley officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
