Obituary for Leola Knick Fix McClung Leola Knick Fix McClung
Retired Beautician Dies At Age 91

Leola Knick Fix McClung, 91, of 401 Brentwood Drive, Covington, died Friday night, March 23, 2012 at The Woodlands in Clifton Forge.

Mrs. McClung was born May 26, 1920, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Jessie Herman and Clara Entsminger Knick.

She was a retired Beautician from the former Star Light Beauty Shop in Covington and other beauty shops in both Covington and Lexington.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McClung was preceded in death by her husband, James M. McClung, Jr. and also by two sisters, Pauline Kelly and Madeline Caldwell.

Surviving are two sons and daughters in law, Larry and Betty Fix of Covington and Jerry and Sandy Fix of Lynchburg; four grandchildren: Todd and Kim Fix of Covington and Kelly and Nathan Nicely of Fincastle ;Steve Taylor and Tracy and Dennis Stump, all of Lynchburg; five great grandchildren, Noah Nicely and Nicholas Nicely, Chris Taylor and Zack Taylor, and Grace Stump, all of Lynchburg; one brother and sister- in law, Page and Pat Knick of Buena Vista; special friends, Teenie and Warren Kegley of Covington, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Price.
