Robert William (Billy) Reynolds, III, 83, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

He was born March 4, 1929, a son of the late Robert W. and Sadie Reynolds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey Ray Reynolds.

Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartsville, Tennessee. He retired from Burlington Industries after thirty five years of service.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Big Island Hunting and Fishing Club. Billy was an avid reader and loved music. He was a gentle and loving man who will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Freda Sylvester Reynolds of Natural Bridge Station; one daughter, Melissa Hutcherson and husband, Anthony of Fairfax, VA; one son, Michael Reynolds of Ashland City, TN; one brother, Ralph Reynolds, and one sister, Rachel Falls, both of Natural Bridge Station; three grandchildren; one great grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Arnolds Valley with the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
