Was Retired Jackson River Enterprises Supervisor

Patsy Ann Dodd Smith Hall, age 72, of 69 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her residence.

She was born July 21, 1939 in Clifton Forge to the late William and Mary Newcomb Dodd.

She was a retired supervisor for Jackson River Enterprises of Covington and a member of the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emma Terry.

She is survived by her husband James Hall of Clifton Forge; four daughters, Jean Ann Smith of Clifton Forge, Kathy Hopkins and husband, Shane of Louisville, KY, Rebecca Smith of Clifton Forge, and Amy Angle and companion, Edie Lipes of Clifton Forge; two sons, David Smith of Clifton Forge and Wesley Smith and wife, Starlet of Glen Wilton; a sister, Mary Dodd Vess of Clifton Forge; a brother, William "Pete" Dodd of Clifton Forge; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating and the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose also conducting their service. Interment followed in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers were Shane Hopkins, Preston Little, Stuart Berry, Jason Beard, James Osborne, and Randy Martin. The family received friends on Friday at Nicely Funeral Home.
