Buena Vista Resident Dies At Age 48

Edmond Leon (Dick) Wilhelm, Jr., 48, of Buena Vista, Virginia, a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, and brother departed this earth on April 8, 2012 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Dick was born April 12, 1963 to Leon and Sarah Wilhelm of Lexington.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Larie Hartless, Sr. and his niece, Maelyn Grace Wilhelm.

Dick was an avid hunter and loved playing and coaching softball. His greatest pleasure was spending time with Reba's softball or basketball team and watching Kambray ride horses.

He is survived by his wife and companion of twenty-six years, Tammie Hartless Wilhelm; daughters, Reba Sheyenne and Kambray Santana; three brothers, James Leo Wilhelm, Jessie Paul Wilhelm and wife, Leeza, Joseph Henry Grant Wilhelm and wife, Lorin; five sisters, Evelee Delphyne Sisk and husband, Harry, Effie Wilhelm Wallace and husband, Eddie, Sara "Willie" Fix and husband, David, Melissa Gail Wilhelm Kyger, Rachel Dawn Nicely and husband, Billy; mother-in-law, Nancy Hartless; brother-in-law, Larie Hartless, Jr.; eighteen nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Stake President Walter Ralls and the Rev. W. David officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
