Obituary for Mae Daphney Hinty Mae Daphney Hinty
Animal Lover Was Faithful Member Of The Broad Creek A.R.P. Church

Mae Daphney Hinty, 94, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, entered eternal rest on April 19, 2012, at home with her family by her side.

Born May 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William Howard and Goldie Moore Hinty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert D. Hinty and Samuel Hinty, and sister Alene Hinty Smith.

Mae was a faithful member of the Broad Creek A.R.P. Church in Natural Bridge. She was devoted to her family, friends and pets. She loved every animal and flower God created.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sister and lifelong companion, Ruby H. McDaniel, of Natural Bridge.

Mae was the second mom and mother-in-law to Robin M. Jenkins and Penny M. Dudley and husband, Clinton, all of Natural Bridge. She was the beloved Granny to Jacob C. Dudley, Nathan S. Dudley and Nicole Shull, all of Natural Bridge. She is also survived by her nieces, Teresa H. Alexander, and husband, David, of Natural Bridge, Joyce S. McFaddin and husband, Buddy, of Glasgow, Linda H. Swisher and husband, Fred, of Fishersville, Juanita H. Talbott of Lexington, Barbara "Faye" Wilhelm and husband, Carl, of Lexington; and her nephews, David Hinty, of Lexington and Billy Ray Smith, of Natural Bridge.

A graveside service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Broadcreek A.R.P. Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Swisher and Pastor Greg Gertz officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Broad Creek Cemetery, 184 Tally Ho Lane, Natural Bridge, VA 24578.
