Calvin Lewis Roberts, 85, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his home.

Born December 25, 1926 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Charlie Beverly and Lilly Roberts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Horn Roberts, and a brother, Gladys Roberts.

Surviving are his daughter, Susan Bennington and husband, George; and a special grandson, Joshua L. Bennington, all of Lexington; one brother, Carl Roberts and wife, Lois; special nephew, James Horne and his daughter, Jessica; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
