Obituary for Clarence Davis Campbell Clarence Davis Campbell
Faith Baptist Church Member Was Logging Company Owner

Clarence Davis Campbell, 67, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Born February 21, 1945 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Allie Brisco Campbell and Marvine McCullough Campbell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Dorothy "Peggy" Austin, Evelyn "Bootie" Austin, and Annabelle C. Gilliam.

Mr. Campbell was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Arnolds Valley.

Clarence was owner/operator of C.D. Campbell Logging, and was well-known and respected in the logging industry and community. He was a member of the Virginia Logger Association and was the recipient of the Logger Merit Award.

Clarence also worked under contract with Greif Corporation in Riverville, Virginia, for thirty-eight years.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and business acquaintances, but mostly by his wife, children, grandchildren, and other extended family.

Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Campbell of Natural Bridge Station; one son, James Campbell and wife, Vicky, and their children Jordan and Jared of Natural Bridge; two daughters, Cynthia Hartless and husband, Timothy of Natural Bridge Station; Christine Seelbach and husband, Jim and their child, Jeremiah Martin of Parkersburg, WV; three brothers, Howard Campbell of Lexington; Kenny Campbell; Marvin Campbell of Natural Bridge Station; two sisters, Edna Moore of Buena Vista; Iva Jenkins of Natural Bridge Station; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at Milliner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
