Obituary for Kimberly Dawn Caylor Kimberly Dawn Caylor
Former Resident Was Social Worker, MMA Member

On May 21 Kimberly Dawn Caylor, 27, of Winchester, Virginia, went to be with her Lord.

She was the beloved daughter of Curtis and Deborah Caylor, Lexington, Virginia, and was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on February 4, 1985, moving to Rockbridge County at the age of three.

She was an active member of Manly Memorial Baptist Church throughout her life, participating in many activities, including missions. Until an injury her senior year of high school, she was an avid and accomplished dancer.

She is a graduate of Rockbridge County High School (2003) and went on to graduate from James Madison University and Radford University with a Master's Degree in Social Work and was a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She was also certified in Forensic Investigation.

She worked for Winchester Social Services in Child Protective Services for 3 1/2 years. She was a member of Manly Memorial Baptist Church, Lexington, Virginia, and attended Abundant Life Church in Winchester, where she was active in children's ministries.

Kim was a very active member of the MMA Institute (martial arts) in Winchester and achieved several belts in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu.

She had many wonderful friends in Winchester and enjoyed spending time with them.

A memorial celebration will be held Friday at 6 pm at the MMA Institute in Winchester. Call 540-535-9640 for details.

She is survived by her parents, Curtis and Deborah Caylor and her sister, Christina Louise Green; brother-in-law, Nathan Green; nephew and niece, Micah and Keziah Green, all of Dawsonville, GA; grandmother, Patricia Caylor of Altus, OK; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins in Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Missouri. She was loved by Bob Gibson and his daughter, Olivia.

The Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26 at Manly Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington with Dr. J. Michael Wilkins officiating. The safety and well-being of children was her passion, so in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the ChildSafe Center - CAC, 411 N. Cameron Street, Suite 301, Winchester, VA 22601.
