Catherine Marie Shaw Whitmore, 91, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

Born September 2, 1920 in Lexington, she was a daughter of late Shaw family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Benson Whitmore; a son, Donnie Whitmore; two sisters, Dorothy and Lucille; and a son-in-law, Mark Anthony Tetzloff.

Mrs. Whitmore was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her children, Betty Jo Tetzloff of Buena Vista; Bonnie Jean Jones and husband, Ray of Stafford; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
