Obituary for Bernice Kerr Sorrels (Bunny) Bernice Kerr Sorrels (Bunny)
Rockbridge Native Was Madison Heights Resident

Bernice Kerr Sorrels (Bunny), 82, of Madison Heights, VA, went to be with her Lord and savior with her loving family by her side on June 2, 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital.

She was born August 25, 1929 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Walter A. Kerr and Gladys Ogden Kerr.

Bunny is survived by her loving and caring husband of 48 years, Donald L. Sorrels.

She had three sisters: Vivian Jarvis, of Lexington, Helen Arthur and husband, Jack, Gladys Mull and husband, Eugene; and one brother, Buck Kerr, all of Glasgow; one brother-in-law, J.W. "Red" Sorrels; and several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Bunny was the life of any crowd she was in and she left behind several loving memories and will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with Sheldon Sorrells and Rev. Butch Grow officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. The family will also be receiving friends at the house of J.W. "Red" Sorrels. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center, 1701 Thomson Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
