Bessie Dale Painter, 89, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Heritage Hall.

Mrs. Painter was born June 7, 1922 in Rockbridge Co., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale.

Mrs. Painter was preceded in death by her husband, Winters Lee Painter. Mrs. Painter is survived by her two daughters, Helen Wise and husband, Eddie, and Betty Fitzgerald and husband Chuck; two grandchildren, Kevin Lilley and Carol Brown; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday June 8, 2012 at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
