Harry Pennington Terry, 89, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15, 2012, in the Golden Living Center.

Born January 24, 1923, in Amherst County, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary Mamie Floyd Terry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Harry Lee Mohler; brother, Lawrence Terry; and sister, Odell Gordon.

Mr. Terry was retired from Souther's Florist.

Surviving are two brothers, John R. Terry, of Lexington, and Morris Williard Terry, of Buena Vista; nieces and nephews; and a special caretaker, Cecelia Hostetter.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Larry Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, Va., 540-261-5510.
