Sarah Lewanne Davis, age 52, of 250 Echo Valley Road, Millboro, Virginia, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Bath County Community Hospital in Hot Springs.

Lewanne was born June 3, 1960 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to Robert D. "Dewey" Davis and Sarah Wood Davis.

She attended Millboro Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Dewey and Sarah Davis of Millboro, Lewanne is survived by a sister, Susan Shrader Muehleck and husband Jim of Martinsville; two brothers, Wes Shrader and wife, Sharon of Millboro, and Bob Davis and wife, Rebecca of Millboro; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank D. "Bo" Shrader.

A funeral service was held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Millboro Presbyterian Church, Millboro with Reverend John Haney officiating. Interment followed in Windy Cove Cemetery, Millboro Springs. Pallbearers were John Payne, Steven Branch, Luke Hewitt, Dale Plecker, Bobby Wattlington, and Sam Burke.

There was no formal visitation. However, the family received friends any time at the residence at Camp Nimrod for Girls in Millboro Springs.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge handled the arrangements. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Rudy Via Center, Millboro, VA.
