Obituary for Janice Fridley Persinger Janice Fridley Persinger
Alleghany County Native Was Highland Chapel Christian Church Member

Janice Fridley Persinger, 72, of 1202 Summit Drive, Covington, Virginia, died, early July 3, 2012 at her residence.

She was born November 14, 1939 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Johnny and Vergie Kemper Fridley.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Highland Chapel Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer P. Persinger in 1996; one sister, Shirley Jones and three brothers, Leonard Fridley, Curtis Ray Fridley and Jimmy Fridley.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Haynes and her husband, Danna; Liz Hoke and her husband, Mike and Valerie Smith and her husband, Alfred, all of Covington; two sons, Chris Fridley and his wife, Peggy of Paint Bank and Junior Persinger and his wife, Sissy, of Covington; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one sister, Linda Rose of Covington, and one brother, John Fridley of Covington.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. B. Broughman officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.

The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
