Suanne Kelley Kopald passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of July 4, 2012 at the age of 59.

Her daughters, Elizabeth and Rebecca, and her husband, Michael were with her.

Her beloved granddaughters, Gryphon and Fletcher, who already miss their Nana very much, were also close by.

Suanne is survived as well by her only brother, Michael J. Kelley of Cleveland, Ohio.

Her parents, Garen and Naomi Kelley, also of Cleveland, are deceased.

Suanne's final months were marked by the same love, grace and dignity that were a part of her entire life. She was a true artist - a painter, singer, writer, illustrator, and musician - and attended even her smallest actions with a mind and hand to the aesthetic nature of living. Suanne humbly touched and influenced many lives, and those lives touched her as well.

Suanne's friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of her life on Thursday July 12, at 6 p.m. at their home, 408 Honeysuckle Hill, Lexington, Virginia.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice or to the charitable cause of your choosing.
