Bonnie Thomas McGuire, 77, of 413 E. Gordon Street, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born September 21, 1934 in Dwale, KY, a daughter of the late Miles and Alma Callison Thomas.

Mrs. McGuire was a volunteer at Alleghany Regional Hospital for number of years. She was a very active member of the Parrish Court United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" McGuire, Jr. in March of 2012, and one sister and one brother.

Surviving are four sons, William McGuire III and his wife, Rose of Roanoke; Tony McGuire and his wife, Kerry of Liveston, NJ; Patrick McGuire of Atlanta, GA and Mark McGuire and his wife, Tara of Forest; six grandchildren; one brother, Linda Rice of Dwale, KY; two brothers, Lowell Thomas of Dry Ridge, KY, and Vernon Dwale, KY.

The funeral service was held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Parrish Court United Methodist Church with Rev. Sue Ann Salmon officiating. The online guest book is available at arrittfuneralhome.com.
