Obituary for Dorothy Camden Wilmore Dorothy Camden Wilmore
Lexington Native Dies At Age 82

Dorothy Camden Wilmore, 82, of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, July 20, 2012, peacefully in her home with children by her side.

Born September 7, 1929 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl Claytor Camden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Lee (Butch) Kessler and brothers, Ernest and Robert (Bobby) Camden. Affectionately known as "Granny Dot" not only to her children and grandchildren, she was also the "adopted Granny" and member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1415 and Moose family of Lynchburg South #1727 and member of VFW Auxiliary 1499.

Surviving are her children, Sharon Dianne Green (Jerry) of Cumby, Texas; Bonita Myers-Bifulco (Fred), Edward L. Mohler Jr. and Debi Ruley (Eddie), Paula Brazell (Ron Green) and Robert (Bobby) William Fulk; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; special family friend, Alan Black; brothers, Calvin Camden and Lloyd Camden; many loving nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tony Nix officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
