Mr. Robert Todd (Bobby) Leighton, age 54, of Covington, Virginia, passed away July 30, 2012, due to a battle with cancer.

He was the husband of the late Lisa Mills Leighton.

Mr. Leighton was born January 13, 1958 in Covington, the son of Anne Burns Botkins and the late Thomas Lenwood "Tommy" Leighton.

In addition to his mother, Anne Burns Botkins, Bobby is survived by his brother, Shane Reid and wife, Michelle; his nieces; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and by his excellent hospice caregivers at Medi Home Health and Hospice.

In addition to his wife, Lisa Mills Leighton and his father, Thomas Lenwood "Tommy" Leighton, Bobby was preceded in death by his stepfather, H.W. "Sonny" Reid; brother, James Thomas Reid; maternal grandparents, Virginia Burns Payne and A.G. "Bobby" Burns; paternal grandparents, Thomas Henry Leighton and Madeline Layne Leighton.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later time.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to Medi Home Health and Hospice, 507 E. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
