Mr. Carlton Sheesley Frye, age 89, of Hot Springs, Virginia, died Sunday, August 19, 2012, at the residence of his niece, Tina Clifton Waybright and her husband, Richard B. Waybright.

He was the husband of the late Shirley Thacker Frye.

Mr. Frye was born March 16, 1923 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Marian Frye and Lola Sheesley Frye.

He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II, where he was stationed in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Mr. Frye was employed as an Engineer by the CSX Railroad.

He was a member of Emory United Methodist Church.

Mr. Frye is survived by one brother, Hershel Delbert "Brig" Frye of Hot Springs and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
