Louise Frances Sheppard Reed, age 78, of 528 Brussels Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at The Highland House, Clifton Forge.

She was born January 25, 1934 in Ronceverte, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Hazel Virginia Moody Sheppard.

She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for Liberty House Nursing Home.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda S. Reed of Boston, MA, and Donna R. Kimberlin and husband, Tim of Clifton Forge; four sons, William E. Reed and wife, Kathy of Roanoke, Chester W. Reed and wife, Karen of Lyndhurst, James L. Reed and wife, Brenda of Roanoke, and Paul T. Reed of Buena Vista; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Hunter Hale officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Donna and Tim Kimberlin, 1230 Commercial Ave, Clifton Forge, VA. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, PO Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
