Larry Lee Conner, 69, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at his residence.

Born on January 17, 1943, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Basil Conner Sr. and Gladys Trevey Conner.

Mr. Conner was in the United States Marine Corps and served three tours in Vietnam.

He loved horses and the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Conner; children, Kathy Conner, Buena Vista, Laura Vance, and Larry Conner Jr., both of Alabama; two brothers, Roger Conner, and Broadway and Basil Conner, of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Rockbridge Area Hospice for their care.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012, in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Bain officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450.
