Obituary for Johnny Patrick Coleman, Sr. Johnny Patrick Coleman, Sr.
Former Police Officer Was Employed By Walmart

Johnny Patrick Coleman, Sr., age 75 of The Brian Center Nursing Care in Low Moor, Virginia, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany in Low Moor.

He was born January 12, 1937 in West Virginia to the late Albert Joseph and Virginia Effie Curtis Coleman.

He was employed by Walmart in the Garden Center, and was a former police officer for Marlinton, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. He is survived by three daughters, Ellen Coleman of Covington, Peggy Dew of Iron Gate, and Patricia Elizabeth Bentley of Baltimore; a son, Johnny Coleman, Jr. of Roanoke; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Covington with Reverend James Terry officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends on Monday at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, from 12:30 until the time of service, or other times at the residence of Peggy Dew, 314 Commerce Street, Iron Gate, VA .
